slow down and start listening

As a singer/songwriter, Yoga + Life Coach, 500-hr registered yoga teacher, Reiki Master, and writer, I've found my purpose in helping women create lives that are aligned, fulfilling, and authentic; lives full of joy, freedom, creativity, passion, and purpose - because I know what it's like to be so in your own damn way, you lose sight of what it is that you really want.

I spent most of my 20s feeling like I was spinning in circles – working multiple jobs, burning myself out, and constantly looking for new ways to be happy. I was in a continuous state of emotional and financial stress and anxiety, which I would try to settle by taking on more work, or distracting myself with staying as busy as possible.

I knew that there was something bigger I wanted to step into – I just didn’t know what or how to find it. Clarity on my life and my dreams always seemed to be a struggle.

I would go from job to job, bad relationship to bad relationship, wanting something or someone on the outside to tell me what to do next, and would find myself back in the same place, or state of mind, where I began.

By the time I was 29, I was so energetically exhausted and I came to a point where I’d had enough. So, I took a trip to Arizona – a place that I’d always wanted to see.

It was beautiful – like something I’d only seen in photos. One day, we decided to go to the Grand Canyon. It was absolutely breathtaking, but it was so much more than that. I felt fearless and free for the first time in years.

As I sat on a rock, my legs hanging over the edge, the pain and anxiety of the last year of my life came back. In that moment, I asked the Universe, or whoever was listening, to please lift this from me, give me some guidance, and I promised I will live the life I was meant to. I promised that I will help to show others the way, too.

It wasn’t until I slowed down and allowed myself to be in my own body, for once, that I realized the clarity I was seeking outwardly was in me all along. It wasn’t until I realized that I was the only one in control of my life – every single aspect of it – that I could let go of the limiting beliefs I held and trust every next step.

Wanting to bring everything that's helped me to one platform, I created sage & clarity. The name was taken from the idea of cleansing and connecting to your body and mind in order to get clear about what it really is that you want and need out of life. And to realize that the answers are always already there - sometimes we just have to break through the blocks to connect with our clarity.
